In order to actively respond to the collaborative construction strategy between Wuxi City and Jiangnan University in the "14th Five-Year Plan", Jiangnan University and Wuxi Transportation Industry Group officially signed a framework agreement in September 2022, establishing a long-term strategic partnership. The School of Business, as the counterpart department responsible for implementing cooperation between the two parties, actively handles specific work coordination and implementation, establishes a coordinated interactive work mechanism, and is responsible for daily communication, management, and other specific affairs, achieving significant results.
Recently, the School of Business and Wuxi Transportation Industry Group held a "talent development co-construction exchange meeting". Liu Yanhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union of Wuxi Transportation Industry Group, and Liu Changqing, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Business, as well as Dean Pu Xujin, attended the meeting.
Firstly, the School of Business presented a good news report to Wuxi Transportation Industry Group, warmly congratulating a new batch of outstanding employees for enrolling in our master's degree program, and sincerely thanking Wuxi Transportation Industry Group for their trust and support in our school.
Next, Deputy Secretary Liu Yanhong introduced the upgrading transformation of Wuxi Transportation Industry Group from focusing on the transportation industry to the simultaneous advancement of five major key businesses including transportation and engineering construction, aviation industry, transportation technology and manufacturing, and transportation finance and investment. Dean Pu Xujin introduced the situation of faculty construction, changes in discipline development, expansion of international cooperation projects, and the characteristic advantages of the MBA Education Center and EDP Center of the School of Business. Through mutual introductions, both sides further deepened their understanding of each other and sparked new cooperation initiatives.
Finally, the two parties conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges on various aspects such as the construction of school-enterprise cooperative internship bases, development of enterprise cases, mechanisms for teacher-student learning and exchange, talent training and employment recruitment, and sharing of school-enterprise advantageous resources. A series of new consensus reached will be gradually incorporated into the plan and implemented. In the future, both parties will work hand in hand with a more pragmatic attitude and actions to jointly establish a new benchmark for win-win school-enterprise integration!
