Since its inception in 2014, the Business Administration (Sino-foreign Joint program), a collaboration between our university and Monash University in Australia, has continuously introduced Monash University's high-quality course resources and excellent faculty to promote the development of the program. From May 6 to May 17, Professor Colin Jevons from Monash University's Business School was invited to our university to teach a "Marketing" , receiving unanimous praise from both teachers and students.

Professor Colin Jevons brings a wealth of international marketing experience and a strong academic background. His teaching not only covers the fundamental theories of marketing but also integrates numerous international case studies and cutting-edge concepts. Through vivid explanations and rich interactions, Professor Jevons helped students and teachers deeply appreciate the allure and challenges of marketing. His smile encouraged students to continually push their limits and strive for new heights.

During the course, students faced many "challenges," such as creating a ten-second video to demonstrate what marketing is, or cooperating with classmates to explore open-ended questions within a 20-minute time frame. One of the most impressive group activities involved students designing a marketing plan as marketers and pitching it to their classmates.

The two-week course not only expanded the students' professional knowledge but also enhanced their comprehensive abilities. Many students went from being initially reserved to confidently expressing their views in fluent English by the end of the course. The course also fostered teamwork skills, with students collaborating to complete group activities and solve challenging problems together. At the end of the course, Professor Jevons praised the academic atmosphere as well as student quality of School at Jiangnan University, that they don't seem like freshmen, but rather upperclassmen. It is his honor to be their teacher!

This course received significant attention and strong support from the college leadership. Students expressed their gratitude to the School for introducing excellent teachers and teaching resources from Monash University. At the conclusion of the course, Professor Liu Yong, Associate Dean of the School, and Associate Professor Meng Fanbo, Assistant of Dean, presented Professor Jevons with a letter of appreciation and a commemorative gift.

The Sino-Foreign joint program between Jiangnan University and Monash University has a well-established training system and continuously strives for innovation, providing students with high-quality international education resources and promoting academic exchange and cooperation between the two universities. In the future, the two universities will continue to deepen their collaboration, contributing more to the cultivation of business talents with international perspectives and innovative spirits.
