Yu Minwu is a native of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. She teaches at the Humanities College of Jiangnan University as a film critic, director, and producer. She is also the deputy director of the Chinese Department in the Humanities College, a member of the Youth Branch of the Wuxi Writers' Association, a member of the Wuxi Literary Critics Association, and a member of the Jiangsu Literary Critics Association. Her main research fields are film criticism and cultural communication, as well as film production activities. Her main courses include Film and Television Criticism, Documentary Short Film Creation, etc. She has published more than ten papers in CSSCI and Peking University core journals, chaired projects funded by central universities and provincial education departments, participated in several provincial and ministerial-level projects, and completed three horizontal projects. She has written dozens of film scripts.
