Personal introduction:

Zhang Xinxin, DMA in Piano Performance, graduated from College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, USA. She won several prizes through her academic study years, including the second place in the piano competition organized by the Tuesday Music Association in 2010 and Clarenz Lightfritz Award; the second prize of Mozart Piano Concerto Competition in Cincinnati, USA. In 2016, she was invited by conductor Cheng Jiannan and performed the Schumann Piano Concerto in A minor with the Student Symphony Orchestra of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. In the same year, she was also invited as a guest pianist to perform at University of Michigan Ann Arbor. She has joined in Jiangnan University as an Associated Professor of music department since 2017. As a music scholar, she published several important books and articles, includingThe Development History of Keyboard Genresin 2019, which won the second prize of Jiangsu Art and Theory Award. Her other important articles includesFrom Improvisation to Notated Score: Evolution of Instrumental Performance in the Middle Ages from the Viewpoint of Field, published on theJournal of Central Conservatory of Music(cssci);The Characteristics and Development of Piano Concerto, published onPiano Art，etc. She has also won many honorary titles, such as the "Doctor of Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation" in Jiangsu Province in 2018 and the “Taihu Lake Excellent Cultural Youth" in Wuxi, 2023.
